Ulrich v. City and County of San Francisco,
No. A095219 (Cal. Ct. App. March 26, 2002)
A physician resigned from a hospital's medical staff during a pending investigation, and later sought to rescind his resignation after learning that the hospital would be required to report the resignation to both the National Practitioner Data Bank and the state medical board. He sued the hospital, seeking a court order requiring the hospital to void the report and give him a hearing. The court held that the hospital was not required to accept the recision or to provide a hearing.
